SUNFLOWER LECITHIN - Sunflower lecithin, a natural emollient, offers several skin benefits, including improved hydration, enhanced skin barrier function, and calming effects, making it a valuable ingredient in skincare products. Lecithin is also as an emulsifier, helping to blend oil and water-based ingredients in skincare products. Lecithin is a good source of antioxidants and can help restore skin hydration, but primarily is used as an emulsifying agent, preventing heavier ingredients from settling at the bottom of a product. 

XANTHAN GUM - Xanthan gum is a natural, polysaccharide hydrocolloid typically made from yeast, that is commonly used in skincare products. It acts as a thickening and stabilizing agent in skincare products, giving them a smooth and consistent texture. Xanthan gum is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores or contribute to acne. Xanthan gum is generally considered safe for sensitive skin and is often used in hypoallergenic and fragrance-free skincare products. 

SODIUM ACRYLATES COPOLYMER - It's a thickening agent that improves the viscosity and texture of cosmetic formulations, making them smoother and more luxurious. It creates a thin, flexible film on the skin, which can help to lock in moisture and provide a protective barrier. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review panel deems sodium acrylates copolymer safe for use in cosmetics, especially when formulated to avoid irritation. The incorporation of sodium acrylates copolymer further enhances sensory experiences. It lends a luxurious, silky sensation on contact with the skin.

PULLULAN - Pullulan, a natural polysaccharide (complex sugars) derived from fermented starch, offers skin benefits like hydration, a temporary tightening effect, and acting as a carrier for other skincare ingredients, potentially strengthening the skin's microbiome. Pullulan has earned Generally Recognized as Safe (GRaS) status from U.S. FDA.

POLYGLYCERYL-4 OLEATE - an emulsifying and skin conditioning ingredient. It’s the ester of oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, and polyglycerin-4, a glycerine-based polymer, typically derived from vegetable oil. As an emulsifying agent, polyglyceryl-4 oleate works to mix oil and water-based ingredients, creating smoother, homogenous formulas.
Although primarily used in skin care applications as an emulsifier, this ingredient also hydrates skin through its light emollient properties.

GLYCINE SOJA (SOYBEAN) SEED EXTRACT - is natural, COSMOS-approved micellar O/W emulsifier from soy with a silky touch. In addition to its functional properties as an emulsifier, it provides hydration to the skin whilst improving the bioavailability of active ingredients. It also enhances collagen and elastin production and delivers soothing benefits. 

CARTHAMUS TINCTORIUS (SAFFLOWER) OLEOSOMES – A milky, thick extraction from safflower, oleosomes work both as natural emulsifiers as well as time-released delivery systems. Oleosomes on the skin do not collapse at once, but slowly and they deliver the stored emollient plant oil and vitamin E over an extended period of time giving the skin long-lasting moisture. This unique, continuous moisture delivery system is an all-natural alternative to chemical emulsifiers and irritating ingredients with its micro particles of skin softening oils and vitamins.

LACTOBACILLUS FERMENT - Lactobacillus is a genus of bacteria that is heralded for its use as a probiotic, beneficial for human digestion. It is traditionally used as a natura fermenting agent for use in the production of yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir and a variety of other fermented foods. Lactobacillus Ferment acts as a natural broad-spectrum antimicrobial in aqueous products and in oil-in-water emulsions by acidifying the environment and producing antimicrobial peptides called bacteriocins. Additionally, it lends nutritive skin conditioning benefits to skincare formulations.

LEUCONOSTOC/RADISH ROOT FERMENT FILTRATE- Leuconostoc radish root ferment filtrate is a natural ingredient derived from the fermentation of radish roots (Raphanus sativus) with the bacterium Leuconostoc. It is a clear or pale-yellow liquid that is commonly used in cosmetics and skincare products. Natural preservative, Antimicrobial and antifungal properties, Moisturizing and conditioning effects, and Rich in peptides and growth-inhibiting compounds. 

CAPRYLYL GLYCOL - Caprylyl glycol, a common cosmetic ingredient, is a skin and hair conditioning agent, humectant, and preservative, derived from caprylic acid found in coconut and palm oils. It's known for its moisturizing properties and antimicrobial activity, helping to prevent bacterial growth and extending product shelf life. 

ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN - Ethylhexylglycerin is a pale to colourless liquid used in cosmetics as a skin-softening agent, preservative, and deodorizing agent, with mild humectant properties. Ethylhexylglycerin, a common preservative and skin-conditioning agent in cosmetics, is derived from vegetable glycerine, often sourced from palm or coconut oil. 

UNDECLENOYL GLYCINE - Glyceryl undecylenate, an ester of glycerine and undecylenic acid, is derived from natural sources, specifically from glycerine obtained from plant oils and undecylenic acid, a fatty acid typically derived from castor oil. Undecylenoyl glycine is commonly used in skin care and cosmetic products. It is a combination of undecylenic acid, a fatty acid, and glycine, an amino acid. 

CAPRYLOYL GLYCINE - Capryloyl glycine is synthesized through a chemic process that combines glycine, an amino acid, with caprylic acid, a fatty acid, which is often derived from coconut oil. Capryloyl glycine works by helping to improve the skin's barrier function, which can lead to improved hydration and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also has antimicrobial properties, which makes it effective at reducing the appearance of acne-prone skin.

GLYCERYL LAURATE - Glyceryl laurate, also known as monolaurin, is a monoester derived from the esterification of glycerine and lauric acid, a fatty acid primarily found in coconut and palm oil. Glyceryl laurate is a safe and natural ingredient found in cosmetics that acts as both an emollient to soften and smooth the skin and an antimicrobial agent to help preserve the product's shelf life. It is commonly used in lotions, creams, and hair care products.

PENTYLENE GLYCOL - Pentylene glycol is a colourless, odourless, and water-soluble liquid derived from sugar cane that is commonly used in skincare products. It is a humectant, which means it helps to draw moisture into the skin. Pentylene glycol has mild preservative properties, which can help to extend the shelf life of skincare products. 

PROPANEDIOL – Derived naturally from corn, Propanediol improves absorption of ingredients to boost their effectiveness. Can be used as an emollient, solvent for an active botanical or as preservative support.

POLYHYDROXYSTEARIC ACID - Polyhydroxystearic acid, a soft, pliable wax derived from castor oil, is used in skincare as a dispersant, emulsion stabilizer, thickener, and film-former, enhancing the texture and stability of cosmetics. 

BEHENYL BEHENATE - Behenyl behenate, a plant-derived or synthetic ester of behenic acid and behenyl alcohol, is a common skin care ingredient that hydrates, prevents moisture loss, and adds occlusive properties to emulsions, making it a safe and effective emollient. Behenic acid, a component of behenyl behenate, is naturally present in human sebum, making it bio-compatible with skin. 

QUILLAJA SAPONARIA WOOD EXTRACT, SAPONARIA OFFICINALIS LEAF/ROOT EXTRACT - is a 100% natural, non-GMO, and palm free, vegan oil-gelling agent. Supplied as a liquid blend, perfect for making translucent, rich balms with the texture of lanolin or petroleum jelly.

DI-PPG-2 MYRETH-10 ADIPATE -  also known as Cromollient SCE, is a cosmetic ingredient used as an emollient, surfactant, and skin-conditioning agent, known for its ability to mitigate surfactant irritation and provide a silky, velvety feel. Di-PPG-2 Myreth-10 Adipate is an alkoxylated di-ester derived from myristyl alcohol and adipic acid. Cromollient SCE is extremely gentle on the skin, used in products formulated for babies and reduces irritation caused by harsh cleansing agents. 

SODIUM ISOSTEAROYL LACTYLATE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL - Sodium Isostearoyl Lactylate and Propylene Glycol are commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products for their emulsifying, moisturizing, and conditioning properties. ISL is a food grade compound made from lactic acid and fatty acids (Isostearic Acid) that helps to prevent dryness, improve skin texture, and soothe irritated skin. PG is
the solvent in this blend. A small organic alcohol and a common humectant and solvent used in cosmetics and personal care products; PG is used here in small amounts to give flow to the ISL.

MICA – Mineral Mica is the magical dust that makes skin products look shiny, and the skin look luminescent. Most experts agree that cosmetic-grade mineral mica, when properly processed and purified, is not harmful to the skin when applied topically. The primary concern regarding mica is the potential health risks for miners exposed to raw mica dust, which can lead to lung issues. Our mineral mica is certified to be both clean, free from PFAS and ethically mined. We use mineral mica in moderation in our Glo-Berry Facial Oil.

TITANIUM DIOXIDE - Titanium dioxide is a mineral composed of titanium and oxygen in the form of a white powder. It can be found in cosmetic products like sunscreen, and makeup products as a whitening agent. This ingredient is safe in topical cosmetics as long as it is not being inhaled, which is impossible when used in a moisturizer. It is part of our Mineral Mica blends and used in tiny amounts.  

IRON OXIDES - Iron oxide is considered safe for cosmetic use and has a low hazard rating on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Skin Deep database. Unlike some chemical sunscreen ingredients and colorants, iron oxides are non-irritating and are generally safe for sensitive skin types. Iron oxides are naturally occurring mineral deposits. 

TIN OXIDE - Tin oxide is an opacifying agent in cosmetic products and is commonly used in tiny amounts in combination with mica and titanium dioxide. Tin oxide occurs in nature as the mineral cassiterite and is a white-to-greyish powder in raw material form. In 2014, tin oxide was deemed safe in up to 1.3% concentration by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel. Our formulas don’t get even close to this amount.

ZINC OXIDE – NON-NANO zinc oxide is beneficial for the skin, offering protection against UV rays, acting as a soothing agent for irritated skin, and aiding in wound healing and acne treatment due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. 

CITRIC ACID – PH adjustor from citrus fruits typically used in our products in minute amounts as a part of a botanical ingredient complex.

SILVERION – Silver Citrate and Citric Acid - Silvérion 2400 is a preservative based on a stabilized silver complex produced by an electrochemical process with silver and citric acid. It is a water-soluble silver salt of citric acid (containing 2400ppm silver ions). It is not a colloidal silver solution. Silvérion
2400 is an approved preservative in the US and it is now on the European approved preservative list. In Europe, Silvérion 2400 can also be used as an antimicrobial active in all types of rinse off and leave on cosmetic products or for its deodorant properties. It is currently on the Japanese positive preservative list.

GLUCONOLACTONE - aka Glucono Delta Lactone finds use in the cosmetic industry as a moisturizer, pH adjuster, and sequestrant or chelating agent. It is generally considered suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and is non-irritating and antioxidant. The multiple hydroxyl groups on the GdL molecule attract water, resulting in a moisturizing effect when added to skin care formulations. Given their ability to condition and hydrate skin, GdL-containing formulations may even smooth skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

INDIGO POWDER (BAPHICACANTHUS CUSIA [NEES] BREMEK) - is a natural dye and has been used traditionally for colouring textiles, and in some traditional medicine systems, with potential benefits for hair and skin. Indigo naturalis is a dried powder or paste processed from the stems and leaves of Baphicacanthus cusia. Indigo powder is used in some skincare products, and some believe it has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties.

COPAIFERA OFFICINALIS (COPAIBA BALSAM) OIL - Copaiba balsam contains beta-caryophyllene, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help calm irritated skin, reduce redness, and alleviate discomfort. Copaiba balsam can help tighten the skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, rejuvenate tired-looking skin, help support healthy skin tissue, and improve overall skin health. It can help moisturize and hydrate the skin, while being noncomedogenic, making it a good choice for acne-prone or sensitive skin types. 

HIBISCUS SABDARIFFA SEED OIL – Roselle Hibiscus oil is a well-aging powerhouse, offering several
skin benefits, including acting as a potent antioxidant, hydration, and reducing visible signs of aging, thanks to its rich content of vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Hibiscus also soothes redness due to dryness and can reduce the look of dark spots over time. Roselle Hibiscus Seed Oil is referred to as the skin's Botox Plant from its naturally gentle form of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and high antioxidant content. High concentration of Omega-6 Linoleic Acid in this exquisite oil keeps skin moisturized and is ideal for soothing dry, flaky skin and acne prone skin. It has both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help to improve the appearance of the skin, minimize wrinkles and age spots, and even increase the elasticity of the skin. Rosella Seed Oil is also rich in protective antioxidants that helps to battle the effects of sun damage, pollution, and other environmental stressors.

PUNICA GRANATUM (POMEGRANATE) SEED OIL - Pomegranate Seed Oil is a rare source of Punicic Acid - a polyunsaturated fatty acid and the only known botanical form of Conjugated Linolenic Acid (CLnA), and is one of the most powerful plant-based antioxidants known. Its high resistance to oxidation is another reason why it is such a desirable component in the personal care and cosmetic industry. Pomegranate Seed Oil is a “dry” touch, emollient oil with skin moisturizing properties that spread easily on the skin without leaving a greasy residue. It acts as a humectant, helping to retain moisture in the skin and providing vibrancy and nourishment to dry, parched and lacklustre skin. Also rich in Vitamin E, Pomegranate Oil protects the skin cells from oxidative damages through its excellent antioxidant properties, preventing premature aging. It comes packed with vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids, which also contribute to its well-aging capacities, reducing the visible signs of aging. CARYODENDRON ORINOCENSE (CACAY) SEED OIL- Cacay Oil is extracted from the highly nutritious nuts (seeds) of the Caryodendron orinocense growing in the Amazon forests along the eastern base of the Andes mountains primarily in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. Cacay Oil has plenty of naturally occurring Vitamin A, a natural form of Retinol that has been clinically proven to reduce wrinkles, boosts collagen production, promote cells regeneration and replenish the skin tissue, demonstrably reducing the appearance of wrinkles whilst keeping the skin smooth and supple. Cacay Oil is also rich in antioxidant Vitamin E that protects the skin against the harmful effects of free radicals, which are the main cause of aging. Also present are high levels of essential omega-6 fatty acid, Linoleic Acid known for its intense skin nourishing and hydration benefits.

SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL - Although referred to as an oil, Jojoba is actually a liquid plant wax with remarkably similar properties to our skin's own sebum - the oily secretions our skin produces to protect itself. Rich in beauty-boosting vitamins A, E and D, plus antioxidants and fatty acids, Jojoba Oil is able to penetrate deeply, reaching below the top layer of skin for maximum nourishment. As Jojoba Oil is so closely matched to the skin's natural oil, it is quickly absorbed, helps to hold moisture in the skin without leaving a greasy residue. Great for all skin types.

MAURITIA FLEXUOSA (BURITI) FRUIT OIL - extracted from the Mauritia flexuosa tree, aka the Moriche Palm, It is one of the exotic wonders known as the TREE OF LIFE because of oil's calming, soothing, and reviving properties. Buriti Oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and contains Vitamins E and A which help to rebuild, moisturize and rehydrate skin cells.
Buriti Oil is one of the richest sources of natural beta-carotene (Vitamin A) that nature knows. When Vitamin A is applied topically to the skin, it converts into an active form of the vitamin called Retinol, a supercharged nutrient that can boost collagen production and cell turnover as well as neutralise free radicals from pollution and fade pigmentation.

SILYBUM MARIANUM (MILK THISTLE) SEED OIL - Silybum Marianum Seed Oil is making waves in the skincare industry for its strong antioxidant and anti-aging properties. Milk Thistle Seed Oil is an excellent source of Silymarin, a complex of bioactive compounds of flavonolignans, including Silibinin, Silidianin, and Silicristin that are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Milk Thistle Oil is known to have a light consistency and non-greasy texture that is ideal for hydrating dry or acne-prone and soothing skin that is irritated, inflamed, calloused, and rough.

PUNICA GRANATUM STEROLS - Pomegranate Sterols may be used as a natural replacement for synthetic materials such as petrolatum, or animal derived materials like lanolin. Pomegranate Sterols can increase hydration, and enhance barrier function to increase hydration, and enhance barrier func­tion.

AVENA SATIVA (OAT) KERNEL OIL - extracted from the seed kernels of the Avena sativa, oats have been used for thousands of years to soothe and treat the skin topically. Oat Kernel Oil is an incredibly light textured oil, packed with Ceramides and Tocopherols (Vitamin E). Oat Oil locks in moisture by forming a protective barrier to combat dryness and acts as an occlusive and a humectant. Ceramides are lipids (fat molecules) that are found naturally in high concentrations in the uppermost layers of skin that help the skin retain moisture and help protect against environmental aggressors like irritants, and pollution. Rich in biologically active components such as tocopherols, phytosterols, phospholipids, as well as numerous antioxidants, Oat Oil is renowned for its exceptional age-defying properties, helping to maintain the youthful look of the skin. It is easily absorbed into the skin leaving a non-greasy feel while hydrating, soothing and moisturising the skin.

MACADAMIA INTEGRIFOLIA SEED OIL - Macadamia Nut Oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and closely resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by our skin to help protect it) and hence absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy. Macadamia Nut Oil will revive and strengthen the skin and is believed to even out the complexion, enhancing skin's texture and appearance.
Being light in consistency, it exhibits fast absorption into the skin without clogging pores and makes both a reparative moisturizer for dry, blemished skin as it works to balance oil production in the skin of all types while soothing and shielding skin against harsh environmental pollutants.

BORAGO OFFICINALIS SEED OIL - Borage Seed Oil is prized for its high amounts of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), known to soothe the skin. Borage Seed Oil is a mild natural oil that promotes smooth, youthful, blemish-free skin by boosting collagen production, and keeping it hydrated and
supple. With astringent and softening properties, Borage Oil promotes the look of a healthy, clear, rejuvenated complexion with enhanced radiance. By addressing roughness, wrinkles, redness, dryness, and irritation, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil is reputed to soothe skin afflicted with complicated skin conditions The high antioxidant content helps prevent damage caused by free radicals, leading to premature aging.

GARCINIA INDICA (KOKUM) SEED BUTTER - Kokum Butter is a natural butter produced from the seeds of the kokum tree's (Garcinia indica) fruit, widely sought after for its emollient and
moisturizing properties. Kokum butter is believed to promote skin elasticity, prevent skin dryness, and restore damaged skin as well as soothe irritations and calm redness due to dryness.

RAPHANUS SATIVUS (RADISH) SEED EXTRACT – aka Daikon seed oil is a natural alternative to silicone in our cosmetic formulations, leaving the skin very moisturized but with a light silky finish, not oily. Rich in vitamins E and essential fatty acids, Daikon Radish Seed Oil is known to moisturise and soften wrinkles, stimulate new cell growth, calm inflammation, help restore elasticity, and brighten skin.
The antioxidants in the oil allow Radish Seed Oil to treat signs of aging and pigmentation and repair damaged skin and provide a strong protective antioxidant boost - all without the oily feel of a traditional liquid oil. 

CITRULLUS LANATUS (WATERMELON) SEED OIL - The Kalahari Melon fruit are highly adapted to surviving the harsh drought environment of the African deserts where they grow widely in the Kalahari sands of Namibia and Botswana. The exquisite, rich golden oil extracted from the seeds of Kalahari Melons has been traditionally used in Southern Africa as a moisturizer to protect the skin of the San people from the sun. Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is widely known for its moisturizing and emollient properties as it penetrates the skin tissue quickly leaving no greasy feel and its unique properties help to form an effective barrier against your skin drying out.
Along with being lightweight, it's also non-comedogenic (does not clog pores) and is a perfect option for oily, acne-prone skin. Kalahari Watermelon Seed Oil is known to help to diminish dark circle and puffiness around the eyes and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS (BILBERRY) SEED OIL - Bilberry Seed Oil is used in the skincare industry as skin conditioning and well-aging agent because of its powerful regenerative and restorative qualities. Bilberries are type of edible wild berries that are smaller and darker than their cousin, Blueberries. Bilberry Seed Oil has a high content of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids and powerful antioxidants – namely, anthocyanins. Bilberry Seed Oil has an exceptional fatty acid profile with an optimal Omega 3: Omega 6 ratio - which is extremely helpful when it comes to restoring the lipid barrier of the skin and its integrity. Since the antioxidant content of Vaccinium Myrtillus Seed Oil is very high (especially, tocopherols and carotenoids), when applied to the skin it has the potential to neutralize the free radicals, thus reducing the damage and slowing down the aging process. RUBUS IDAEUS (RASPBERRY) SEED OIL - Red Raspberry Seed Oil is celebrated for its calming and soothing properties. Raspberry Seed Oil has a superior nutritional profile, containing 85% essential fatty acids, as well as Vitamins A and E and is known to have UV blocking properties, making this a great oil to wear under your sunscreen. Red Raspberry Oil is a rich source of polyunsaturated fats and
antioxidant activity including both Tocopherols and Tocotrienols, which contribute to the superior free radical scavenging and lipid support, protecting the skin from environmental stressors. Raspberry Oil also offers an impressive level of Ellagitannins, considered to be one of the most powerful classes of antioxidants. This oil is great for well-aging to acne, and products targeting irritated or sensitive skin.

CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE – aka CCT is a beneficial and widely used skincare ingredient known for its moisturizing, emollient, and antioxidant properties, helping to hydrate and soften skin. Great for all skin types, as this is a dry feeling oily substance with no greasiness on the skin. Caprylic triglycerides are compounds made of naturally occurring fatty acids typically from palm or coconut oil. It can help solubilize other ingredients and extend shelf life.

SQUALANE – Our Squalane is Vegan sourced. Derived from Olive Oil, Squalane is a poly-unsaturated hydrocarbon liquid that is found naturally in many animals and plants, including human sebum. Squalane is considered skin identical as it is one of the many natural lipids our body produces to lubricate and protect our skin. Squalane is known to increase the luminosity and vibrancy of skin, lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and even help reduce redness.

CANNABIS SATIVA SEED OIL – To be clear; HEMP SEED OIL is a nutritive, soothing carrier oil used to moisturize skin. It does not contain any cannabinoids. None. It will not interact with your mind. It will not make you feel any kind of way. Sorry. Now seriously, here is what it does best – condition the skin. Our dark green Virgin Organic Hemp Seed Oil can soothe stressed and irritated skin, and moisturize and strengthen your skin barrier, while being a noncomedogenic oil for all skin types. It is important that this oil is organically grown because Hemp can absorb toxins from the soil. We prefer the Virgin Organic kind for this variety of emollient.

ROSA CANINA FRUIT OIL - ROSEHIP oil is an excellent emollient, helping to soften and moisturize the skin, preventing dryness and promoting a healthy skin barrier. SCHIZOCHYTRIUM - Schizochytrium sp. oil is a DHA-rich oil derived from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp., a promising alternative to fish oil. Schizochytrium sp. is becoming increasingly important in personal care and cosmetics, as it shows potential benefits when applied directly to the skin. Among them, for example, deep hydration, anti-aging properties, unclogging of pores and improvement of discoloration. ALEURITES MOLUCCANUS (KUKUI) SEED OIL - Hawaii's official state tree, Kukui means ENLIGHTENMENT in Hawaiian. For centuries, Hawaiians have used Kukui to moisturize and protect the skin from salt water, harsh sun, drying winds and other environmental elements.
Kukui Nut Oil is easily absorbed by the deepest layers of the skin, and forms a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture levels, preventing further dryness and dehydration. Kukui is used as skin lightener for pregnancy mask and to reduce the appearance of burn scars. As carotenoids are the pigments that give Sea Buckthorn Berry its distinctive orange-red colour, these compounds are present in considerable amounts both in pulp oil and in seed oil. The high concentration
of beta-carotenes in Sea Buckthorn Oil gives the oil a dark orange/red colour.

Topical application of Arnica Montana is known to enhance blood circulation, reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Studies have shown that the primary compounds responsible for Arnica's pronounced anti-inflammatory effect are sesquiterpene lactones, primarily Helenalin.
